Best time to shoot?
MATERNITY SESSION
We usually shoot 30~34 weeks of pregnancy!
NEWBORN BABY
Please schedule 7~14 days after your due date! We may reschedule if the baby meets you 2 weeks earlier or 3 days after. Otherwise, we keep our original schedule. We recommend you to schedule during weekdays so we may have enough time to shoot.
100TH DAY OLD BABY
I know many moms want to shoot the baby exact 100th day old! However, we recommend you to schedule around 120-130 days old when the baby can control the head & neck COMPLETELY because we want to have some poses while tummy time & sitting down. If the baby can NOT hold the neck well, we only have laying down poses like a newborn baby.
ONE YEAR OLD BABY
We recommend you to book around 11months old baby for one year old session so the baby can not walk but stand while hold something. Once the baby become very active, it would be little hard to put the baby in a same position and easily tired out.
How to book?
We require you to complete 2 steps to book your spot, fill out the online booking form & $100 (or more) non-refundable deposit at the time of booking. That information will be sent to you once you decide on the package & date with us.
Please remember that we can not pencil anyone in a specific date & time over 24 hours due to the overwhelming inquiries for the studio sessions and our spots are filling up quickly. Therefore, as soon as you are ready to book, please act right away or we may release and not guarantee the spot without any announcement.
What to wear?
Clothing is a key element for beautiful, timeless portraits. We recommend simple, organic & pastel tone of classic apparel that reflects your style. Neutrals, creams, and soft pastels photograph beautifully amidst our soft sun lightened backgrounds. Have fun with rich textures, layers, simple patterns, ruffles, and accessories… Bare feet are always preferred!
In studio, we have some outfits for up to one year old and few maternity dresses. However, we strongly recommend you to bring some your own in case you don’t like our style and size matters, and some items may not available at the time of your visit.
What to prepare?
MATERNITY SESSION
We have few dresses in our studio so it would be great if you wear/bring nude color of undies in case you try ours. If you bring the baby's clothes/shoes and ultrasound pictures would be used as great props!
NEWBORN BABY
Please bring a pacifier and milk bottles so we can soothe the baby in a calm and relax mood while shooting. Please feed before visit and sleeping baby is the best!
100TH DAY OLD BABY
Always bring enough milk bottles as we don’t know if baby wants to be fed unlike their schedule as the shooting would be tired and make the baby hungry often. Some bibs and diapers are mandatory!
ONE YEAR OLD BABY
I know the baby can be easily hungry but the “small” puffs are always great item to soothe the baby’s hunger a bit and get baby’s attention so we can keep shooting before they are tired out!
More questions?
+ Please be on time for the shooting day as we may have the following clients after you. If you are late more than 15 minutes, we would rush/cut off some shooting time because little delays cause huge at last. we may not responsible and guarantee the final products as promised.
If you arrive any earlier, our studio may not be ready due to other sessions before you. Unfortunately, we do not have an extra waiting room so please wait outside or in your car.
+ There will be no refund for the cancellation. Please let us know at least a month for weekends/2 weeks for weekdays before if you need to reschedule your date. After those time period, the rescheduling fee will be $50 and just for weekdays. If you fail to reschedule in 2 months, we can keep your deposit for the next 6 months from your original shooting date.
+ Due to privacy, we strongly prohibited bringing your own photography equipment to our studio. We always recommend the parents participate in the session so the baby can smile for the best picture! :D
+ No pets & guests (including grandparents) are allowed due to the allergy & COVID situation and they may cause distract the baby's attention!
+ Your baby can easily cry in new circumstances with strangers! So our staff will try their best to soothe the baby can smile for the best pictures.
+ Please feed/take a nap for your baby before coming. We shoot around 1~1.5hrs and the baby can be starving/tired out while shooting so it would be great if you bring some puffs and light snacks to comfort your baby.
+ Please search "Little pumpkin studio" instead of putting our address to avoid any mislocation. There are plenty of street parking spaces in front of our studio.
+ Please prepare the final balance after the deposit for cash, Zelle or Venmo at the end of the shooting.
